Another major highlight of the journey is Adi Kailash, also known as Chota Kailash, which is believed to be the earthly abode of Lord Shiva and closely resembles Mount Kailash in Tibet.

Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Haldwani to Dharchula
The journey begins with a scenic drive from Haldwani to Dharchula, a beautiful town located near the Indo–Nepal border.
The route passes through picturesque hill towns and river valleys, offering stunning views of the Kumaon Himalayas.
Drive Distance: Approx. 280 km
Day 2: Dharchula to Gunji
After necessary permits and formalities, the journey continues toward Gunji village, passing through scenic mountain roads and beautiful Himalayan landscapes.
Gunji serves as an important base for pilgrims visiting Adi Kailash and Om Parvat.
Day 3: Gunji to Om Parvat – Return to Gunji
Trekkers travel toward Nabhidhang, the viewpoint for the sacred Om Parvat.
From here, pilgrims witness the naturally formed Om symbol on the mountain, a rare and spiritually significant sight.
After darshan, the group returns to Gunji.
Day 4: Gunji to Adi Kailash (Chota Kailash)
The journey continues toward Adi Kailash, also known as Chota Kailash.
Trekkers visit the sacred Parvati Sarovar located near the mountain and enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic Adi Kailash peak.

Day 5: Adi Kailash Exploration – Return to Gunji
The day is spent exploring the sacred surroundings of Parvati Sarovar and nearby temples before returning to Gunji village.
Day 6: Gunji to Dharchula
The group travels back through scenic Himalayan roads to reach Dharchula, enjoying the stunning landscapes along the route.
Day 7: Dharchula to Haldwani
The final day involves a return drive from Dharchula to Haldwani, concluding the sacred Himalayan journey.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to undertake the Om Parvat and Adi Kailash Trek is between May to June and September to October, when the weather remains stable and the routes are accessible.
During winter, the region remains inaccessible due to heavy snowfall.
