Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kedarnath

The journey begins with arrival at Kedarnath, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in the Himalayas. Trekkers meet the expedition team, complete necessary preparations, and attend a briefing about the trek.

The rest of the day is spent acclimatizing to the high-altitude environment while enjoying views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 2: Kedarnath to Madmaheshwar Region

The trek begins with a gradual ascent through scenic mountain trails and alpine landscapes. Trekkers pass through meadows and rocky terrain while enjoying views of surrounding valleys and distant peaks.

The campsite is set in a peaceful alpine region surrounded by spectacular Himalayan scenery.

Day 3: Trek to Kachni Khal

The trail gradually climbs toward Kachni Khal, passing through rugged mountain paths and glacial terrain. As the altitude increases, trekkers begin to experience dramatic landscapes and panoramic views of nearby peaks.

Day 4: Kachni Khal to Panpatia Glacier Camp

The trek continues toward the Panpatia Glacier region, where trekkers begin to experience the glacial environment of the Himalayas. The terrain becomes more challenging with rocky paths and snow-covered sections.

Day 5: Crossing Panpatia Col

This is the most challenging and exciting day of the trek. Trekkers begin early in the morning to climb toward Panpatia Col, the highest point of the expedition.

The climb involves navigating through snowfields and steep mountain slopes before reaching the summit of the pass. From the top, trekkers witness spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 6: Descent Toward Nilkanth Base Region

After crossing the pass, the trek continues with a descent through rugged mountain terrain and glacial landscapes toward the Nilkanth Base region.

The campsite offers incredible views of Mt. Nilkanth and surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 7: Trek to Badrinath Valley

The trail gradually descends into greener landscapes as trekkers approach the Badrinath valley. The route offers beautiful views of alpine meadows, river valleys, and distant mountain ranges.

Day 8: Arrival at Badrinath

Trekkers finally reach Badrinath, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India. The trek concludes with a visit to the famous Badrinath Temple, marking the successful completion of the challenging expedition.

Day 9: Departure from Badrinath

After breakfast, trekkers begin their return journey, carrying unforgettable memories of one of the most adventurous and remote trekking experiences in the Garhwal Himalayas.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to undertake the Panpatia Col Trek is between June and September, when the weather conditions are relatively stable and the mountain passes become accessible.

During these months, trekkers can experience clear skies, breathtaking mountain views, and safer trekking conditions for crossing high-altitude passes.
